Niels Hoyle-Dodson

After getting his postgraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan Niels returned to Seattle to put his newly sharpened design knowledge to work in the familiar home state of his upbringing. His professional practice has ranged from large-scale public works in the K-12 education sector to small-scale design build projects for the Seattle Design Festival. A new interest in Multi-Family housing design grew from his experiences in Graduate School exploring collective housing for under-served populations in the Detroit Metro Area. The overlap between academia and practice has played a large role in his professional development, characterized by continuing education in the environmental policy research and advocacy sector. Always one to cast a wide net, Niels has cultivated skills spanning the entirety of the architecture profession, from digital and hand fabrication to graphic communication and representation. He brings a holistic perspective to the team that is motivated primarily by his ambition to be a responsible steward of our shared world.
