This master bedroom addition gives the owners a restful place of repose and retreat as they enter their retirement. The addition forms a courtyard that enhances the connection between the living spaces and the backyard. A window wall in the bedroom takes advantage of the morning sun, views of Missoula’s “M”, and natural cross ventilation. The modern addition complements the existing 1939 house. The exterior materials all share a similar palette of colors to the existing, but offer new textures. The interior materials are modern yet classic, highlighted by a sense of craft and the use of walnut.
