The project site is located within Ballard’s most recent addition to the Urban Village and is swiftly evolving with new zoning changes in effect. The proposed 165-unit project design aspires to be sensitive to the changing scale and evolving context of this stretch of Market Street, while providing a warm neighborhood experience to residents and visitors. A balance of residential units and commercial spaces will augment and strengthen the pedestrian experience at the street. Conserving the line of existing Oak trees on NW Market Street and promoting sustainability are priorities for the project. The project utilizes cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor system which will be exposed inside the units. Finally, providing an appropriate unit type mix and underground parking for the changing needs of the neighborhood is important to the project design.
