Kevin Tabari | Partner

A founding member of PUBLIC47, Kevin brings a passion for design exploration, rooted in a belief that the inherent constraints and challenges associated with a project are often a source for inspiration and innovation. During his nearly 30 years of practice, he has taken particular interest in urban mixed-use buildings and how they shape their surrounding neighborhood. Recently completed projects include State Street Lofts and the Remington Court Renovation and Addition (BB-House). Other notable projects include the Shea Mixed-use Building, Henry Apartments, and the Anhalt Renovation and Addition, all recipients of local and regional AIA awards recognizing their design excellence.
He enjoys staying engaged with the academic community. He’s a frequent design critic at University of Washington and has taught an architecture studio focused on urban mixed-use housing at Washington State University.
He lives in West Seattle where he spends time chasing after his three spirited young children and indoctrinating them with the joys of mid-century modern architecture, indie rock music and storm chasing.
